What Causes Heartburn

What could cause heartburn in the mornings?

I get this feeling of acid coming up….but it’s only in the mornings. It can’t be from food from breakfast because I generally don’t eat in the mornings. Any ideas?
It’s not every morning. It just seems to only be in the morning when it does happen.

It is probably from food you ate the night before. It used to happen to me when I snacked late before I went to bed. I have stopped this and no more acid-reflux in the morning for me. It also has alot to do with the type of food you eat.
