I can’t take it anymore?

My long term boyfriend is in trouble but refuses to go to the hospital. He has ulcers which are being treated with medication but all of a sudden the meds stopped working well. I believe stress over my prospective pregnancy is causing his pain. He has been having nose bleeds, sharp pains in his head, heartburn, constant vomiting, all along with his stomache pains. There is nothing I can do to calm him down and I can’t exactly make him go to the hopstial. He is only nineteen but his mother no longer wants to support him in any way so he has no insurance to go to the doctor nor get anymore medication after his next refill. We live in New York so Medicaid is very well available to us but he refuses to accept assistance in that way. He wants to be a Marine but the way I see it he can not get through boot camp in the state his is in. What are some remedies to relieve his ulcers and other ailments?

Tell him to just suck it up and go to the doctor. Something could be *severely* wrong. If you’re having a baby soon, you do not need to be dealing with the stress of his illness as well. You don’t want to be caring for both a baby and him as that breeds resentment toward him for not accepting his condition and doing something about it. (I’ve seen it a dozen times: help is available, hubby refuses, wife with child, baby born, wife has to support and care for both the hubby and the baby, wife leaves with baby after on avg. five years, hubby wonders why.)

So if you all want to be together for a long time, it’s a little give and take. I personally would tell him to be a man and step up if he’s going to be the head of the household. However, if you want to stroke his ego, make it like he’s your hero and you need him to go to the doctor so that he can get his health on track so that he can to go the marines and he can be an excellent provider for you and your prospective child. (Notice all the ‘he’s'? Your focusing on him; guys love attention centered on themselves.
