Nexium

nexium
Why would my doctor tell me to stop taking Nexium?

I have been taking it for six years from a former GI doctor. I went to a new doctor (a much better doctor) and he found gastritis and gastric polyps on recent endoscopy. After testing negative for H. Pylori, he told me to wean off of it within 90 days. Is this because lack of stomach acid production can cause stomach problems and that I need *some* acid in my stomach?

because it isn’t helping. If you have irritation then it isn’t helping.
