Nexium Heartburn Relief

Can heartburn really cause all this chestpain?

I'm still waiting to see the GI next week, doc, but I been on prilosec twice a day and still had heartburn and pain and ended up in hospital where they ran blood tests and ultra sound and on my stomach and everything was fine. I was then excavated twice Carafate and Nexium, which seemed to work, I finally started feeling normal again w / out any pain and discomformt in my chest and stomach with the exception of heartburn and mild and discomfort, but nothing like I was when my reg doc told me to stop and start CARAFATE take zantac 150 twice a day with nexium i started this last night and woke up 4-5 times last night chest pains and burning like befor all pain day and burning in the chest and back of the doc changed my meds back to twice a day Carafate and Nexium. Someone can tell me if they lived and what it is and how long it will take to get full relief from the discomfort?

I had the same thing with the burning and pain, I had a gnawing feeling in my stomach. My doctor started on Preacid, then when my insurance would not not pay for Prevacid, Protonix past me. Fortunately, Prevacid errosions all healed and I am now pain free on Protonix. I have to look what I eat and drink, but I feel much better.
