Why do some infants have more hair than others?

My daughter was born with head full of hair! We joke that she was two weeks late so she incubated longer, but I really have no idea. I also heard a myth that if you had really bad heartburn, your baby will have a lot of hair….

I seriously think hair color has to do with whether or not they will keep their hair or lose it. All three of my kids were born with lots of beautiful blonde hair that fell out and within a few months they were completely bald!!! I have 11 neices and nephews as well so I’ve seen a lot of babies. The dark haired ones keep their beautiful hair and seem to have more at birth. All of the blonde ones lost their hair just like my kids!
