heartburn and insomnia.help!?
it is almost 2am now and I couldnt fall asleep.I have been suffering from insomnia for years.I lost my job and quit school because of this sickness.I feel extremely depressed and I feel that my life is lack of something(meaningless). I have been worrying and thinking constanly,I am having the hard time to shut my mind off.I sees doctor,psychiatrist and acupunturist but it only helps abit.My doctor told me that my mind isnt stable and my diffcultly of sleeping well could be cause by my hormones.Due to not having enough sleep,I am having a heartburn and I feel extremely depressed.I took anti-depressant (prothiaden) but it doesnt work at all
Furthermore I have no friends also as I dont socialise much.I feel anxious whenever I go to a crowded area.I am just feeling alone,despair and depressed 
.feeling that my life has no solution.
I am also feeling a sense of insecurity which cause me to have insomnia
And why isn’t the Dr. giving you something to sleep? I have experienced very similar symptoms. I go back and forth to the Dr. trying new medications when one doesn’t help. Went this morning and got a script for Lorazepam for anxiety.I have had depression for most of my life and anxiety for the last 8 years. Are you taking anything? When I have insomnia, I take Trazadone. And Wellbutrin for depression. I’ve done it all with varying degrees of success.
For now-I think a good sleep will do wonders for you. One thing at a time. Try skull cap tea to help you sleep if you don’t take anything for it now. If you have been taking alot of drugs for sleep and now they don’t work, you have built up a tolerance and need a detox .
For the social anxiety problem, group counseling is a great way to improve your social skills while working on your issues. Feel free to e-mail me if you want to talk. And try peppermint tea for the heartburn.
