Can heartburn be a sign of pregnancy?

Can heartburn be a sign of pregnancy? I never in my life have had it before. I’m 24 and just think it’s weird I just started getting it a day or two ago. I get nervous every month that I’m pregnant, but this month is probably more possible than the past months I’ve worried. Just wondering if anyone has ever got heartburn right prior to finding out they were pregnant? I also have been on a new anitbiotic sine last week. Maybe that is causing it… I don;t know..

Heartburn can occur for many different reasons. Heartburn occurs during pregnancy but doesn’t occur until the second and third trimester. The reason it happens in pregnancy is because of the hormones and enlarged uterus pushing everything up. The only way to know for sure is a pregnancy test. If you are not planning to get pregnant why worry yourself each month, try going on birth control and practice safe sex; its much better trust me….instead of waiting for your period. Good luck
