Heartburn for 3 days?

I’m 16 years old and have never experienced heartburn in my life. I’ve been freaking because online it said that Heartburn could lead to very serious problems. The symptoms i have is the Burning Sensation, and the feeling of food stuck in my throat, those are the ONLY two I’ve been feeling. I’ve been drinking milk, and it works ok but not that great. Oh and by the way, I’m 5’9 135(just pointing out that I’m not overweight). If you could give me some help for some relief that would be much appreciated.

Go to an ENT (ear nose and throat doctor) and get your esophagus scoped to see if there is indeed irritation due to acid secretions in the esophagus.

I’d try eating smaller meals drinking more water, and avoiding triggers for heartburn:
ALL caffeine (incl. chocolate, cola, etc..)
Spicy foods
Fried Foods
Dairy (for some)
Tomato sauces

Try elevating your bed on cinder blocks.
I’d also go to CVS or Waldgreens and speak to the pharmacist. They can also direct you to some OTC products that might also give you relief.

Another thing to check is a hernia, which could be seen in a barium swallow. Go see your doctor or find a free care clinic at the following website for followup with GI and ENT professionals.

Also, try yogurt other than milk! Just avoid the fruit (eat vanilla or lemon or honey).
