What is the fastest working medicine for stomach acid and for heartburn?
You can use a home remedy- of baking soda, mixed in a small amount of water. Then drink. Dry, chalk taste. But when you are hurting then you get to the point to try almost anything.

For ongoing Acid reflux you can take one or two Prilosec tabs daily or Nexium- one capsule daily. This will prevent regular heartburn.
