Silent Heart Attack Signs

It has already been established that more people die from heart attacks than any other condition known to man. More women than men die from it, and more blacks than whites are diagnosed with it. But these are just facts of the number of incidence of heart attacks that we are of aware of. If early signs are recognized and medical checkup assistance is sought immediately, the chances of a cardiac arrest are considerably reduced. Because women’s symptoms are often misdiagnosed, they are far less likely to be treated with aspirin, beta-blockers, and other heart-attack prevention medications.

The most important treatment for a silent heart attack is restoring the blood flow to the heart. These silent attacks lack the majority of the usual symptoms of a standard heart attack but can still be recognized through ordinary signs such as discomfort in your chest, arms or jaw that seem to go away after resting, fatigue or extreme tiredness, nausea, sweating(particularly cold sweat), breathlessness and dizziness. An overall feeling of being tired or even exhausted for no apparent reason is one of the symptoms that many women experience. This isn’t just feeling like they would like to go to bed a bit early tonight, this is a fatigue that is felt throughout the body.

Those at risk for silent heart attack include diabetics, who are more prone to this type of attack, as well as women, the elderly, and those diagnosed with having heart disease. Silent heart attack symptoms do not resemble the classic heart attack symptoms. A known cause of this condition is Silent Ischemia (Decreased blood supply to the heart muscle). When blood flow to the heart is blocked by plaque, the heart muscle in the area of the blockage becomes damaged. Silent attacks are comparatively rare, they account for about one fourth of all attacks. These silent attacks do not show any symptoms and mostly occur in woman. To diagnose the heart attack, some amount of blood will be drawn for testing purposes and you would get a physical test and set up to an electrocardiogram.

The most important thing you have to do when trying to stop anxiety is to relax! If you can clear your mind and relieve it from stress you substantially reduce the chances of having anxiety heart attack symptoms. One thing that can help you relax is the knowledge of anxiety and why it’s caused. The body is a complicated system that works in all other ways, so what some people might find useful may not work for folks. Chest pain if present, is described as crushing feeling. The pain is usually in the middle of the chest and may go down the left arm or into the back. It is not effected by breathing and lasts more than five minutes. Tingling is commonly limited to the left arm.

Having your heart checked from time to time, especially if there is a family history of heart disease or there are many risk factors that indicate that heart disease is a possibility. No one is excluded from having heart problems. Sometimes, these symptoms are mistaken and ignored as indigestion, heartburn, stress and so on.
