Heartburn Aid

heartburn aid
I’m 37 weeks pregnant woke up with severe heart burn and vomited stomach acid.?

Ok I am 37 weeks and 1 day pregnant. Since about 1 1/2 weeks ago I have had heartburn. Mostly when I lay down, or after meals. Well just about 30 minutes ago 4:00am I wake up with heartburn right out of my sleep… && feel like I’m going to puke. Then about 10 minutes ago I did, but it was just like stomach aid. Should I be worried? && could this be bad on my baby? And another thing I have the flu and a bad head cold all since 35 weeks, but was not sick once be for that. Am I ok? I told my doctor and she said/did nothing about it. please help… am I the only one? Am i going to be okay? More importantly is my child to be going to be ok? Any advice on what to do…. Please!!

you are fine. There isn’t really anything you can take for your flu/head cold unfortunately benadryl, sudafed, and tylenol are about it. as far as heart burn so severe that it woke you up and you vomited, NOT ABNORMAL. You and your baby are fine! You should sleep with your head propped up on some extra pillows though that will help relieve the heartburn. Don’t drink milk to help your heartburn, it will actually make it worse (because it will cause your stomach to produce extra acid…). Take rolaids or tums as directed to help sooth you current heart burn but be advised they might not help TOO much. Also try not to eat less then 3 hours before you go to bed and always sleep with the upper half of your body elevated. Like I said it’s not abnormal, you are fine and safe. You don’t have much longer to go!
