Diet For Heartburn
![]()
I'm having a heartburn for the first time in 19 years. What does this mean?
I ate garlic recently, and perhaps because of food allergy, it caused severe heartburn, which never happened before in my life. I started drinking fennel tea and changed my diet. After a few days he has a lot better, but it always comes back when I eat certain foods. So my question is, at what age people in general heartburn for the first time? Will I be allowed if I keep doing this diet? Do I have chronic heartburn? thanks
Heartburn is that you have a burning sensation under your breastbone after eating something you liked what you did not like. It is sometimes confused with a heart attack. Or worse, a heart attack can be labeled as heartburn. Heartburn s the result of gastroesophageal reflux, which is the failure the lower esophageal sphincter (middle to the end of the esophagus). Normally, this muscle relaxes to let food into the stomach, then immediately contracts to close the esophagus of stomach contents. But if the muscle is weakened – a common result of pregnancy and sometimes obesity – acid and bile of the stomach into the esophagus and irritate unprotected, causing a burning sensation in the chest. Many foods can trigger heartburn. Peppermint, spearmint, fatty foods and chocolate are among the most threatening. Citrus juice, tomato products, coffee (yes, even decaf!), Tea, colas, and alcohol can also aggravate or cause heartburn. Some drugs have also been indicted. Progesterone in oral contraceptives, nicotine, the tranquilizer Valium, antibiotics such as tetracycline drugs against asthma as aminophyulline and medicate some heart are just some examples. Acidity in tablets of vitamin C can also cause the problem. Heartburn may also be related illness. The main symptom a gastric ulcer is a burning, gnawing pain, usually felt across the upper abdomen and sometimes in the lower chest. It usually happens just after eating and can last from half an hour to three hours. The problem may come and go, with weeks of intermittent pain alternating with short periods without pain. A duodenal ulcer produces a similar gnawing pain, usually limited to a small area in the abdomen upper middle, but sometimes through the membrane. The pain is often temporarily by eating, but then returns several hours later and lasts a few hours. It is often worse at night. In fact, worse at night as a sign telling us that if you are awakened by pain wee hours of the morning, take this as evidence that you have a duodenal ulcer. Answers: The first reaction to an attack of heartburn is usually taken an antacid tablet Such as Rolaids and lie down. But it's the wrong reaction. The best way to get immediate relief from heartburn is to take an antacid such as Mylanta liquid and sit. Sitting helps reduce the pressure against the muscle of the lower esophageal sphincter. And while Tables antacids may be more convenient. Liquid preparations have the advantage because they coat over the surface of the esophagus and stomach, be more soothing relief. Antacids containing at least one of four neutralizing ingredients – sodium bicarbonate, calcium carbonate, magnesium hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide – each of which may have its own set of side effects. For this reason, antacids should be used only for occasional bouts of heartburn. The long-term use should be supervised by a health professional. Antacids containing carbonate calcium such as Tums and Alka-Mints and aluminum hydroxide as AlternaGel can cause constipation. Sodium-containing products can load up your system with sodium. AND may interact with an antacid ANTBIOTRICS SOME <Medicart HEART AND OTHER DRUGS. To minimize attacks, avoid foods or drugs that aggravate heartburn. This can be done by keeping a food diary and noting that the food or foods bringing on an attack. In addition, you should eat frequent small meals instead of the rare, heavier, eat your last meal of the day several hours before bedtime, rinse the esophagus often by lowering the water slides all day and avoid lying down after meals. If heartburn is a common problem in the night, look up your race four to six inches. This will raise the upper body without folding you in half which can aggravate the condition. And avoid using extra pillows for the same reason.
