What could be causing severe abdominal pain?

My brother is 34 and in good physical condition. He had a gnawing "pain right "far below his rib cage for about 3 weeks. They made ​​a field hospital to check ulcers, but have nothing found. He has no appetite and pain killers as strong as morphine has no effect on pain. None of the doctors can concentrate on the problem. I read on Autonomic nervous system, but I do not know if I'm on the right track or not. He is back in hospital again, but did still no relief of pain.

Have they done a scan?? could be gallbladder problems or gallstones …. it hurts in general there … I would ask the doc to do a scan and see .. good luck …
